When Palermo offered to kill Arturo, the gang screamed No but I bet everyone at home said "yes please".
That was literally my reaction. Actually reviving a person like that, is it actually possible??
I actually gagged everytime Stockholm performed mouth-to-mouth
Lucky me then, islamic republic censored it🤣🤣
for fucking real bro, i hate arturo so much
Okay I need to break this one down because every effing movie/series make that abominal mistake of showing flat ecg trace then someone delivers a shock and bam the dead is revived.
First of all, a flat ecg trace means that it's simply not connected to the person, or the person is in a condition called asystolia. In both conditions delivering a shock would change absolutely nothing. And hell no a bullet in the heart doesn't give a flat ecg trace.
Even if it was indeed a shockable rythm and they did defibrillate the rythm, he would need intensive care from the second they "revived" him, otherwise it has no use.
Hell no. Guy got shot in the chest. He's not drowning. CPR wouldn't do shit.
Yep, respect to him that he was down to just execute him on the spot.
Marseille waking up to a random birth is peak comedy HAHA
*What part of the plan is this?*
*The Birth plan*
It's even better in Spanish. "To give birth" is "Parir", so it becomes "The Parir Plan"
My favorite line.
Gandia has one of the biggest amounts of plot armour I've ever seen in any show.
He is essentially a Marvel character or the damn terminator. At the end of last episode/start of this he was so close to dying and being paralyzed and now here he comes again, preparing for his 100th round Vs the crew.
Just goddamn kill him bruh
I think the writers are planning his death. After he killed Nairobi, there is no way the series ends with him staying alive and receiving a medal
What if he dies the same way as Nairobi - an unexpected shot straight to the head
It’s become silly at this point.
gandia probably had a stroke when they asked him to take the mission, and they thought it meant yes
Yes!! he's a great character, has a well-defined moral alignment. I like villains like that, very well built...
"Levanta tu pistola para defender a tu país y sale un gilipollas que te llama fascista." - Gandía
Gandìa needed urgent neurosurgery but he went into battle?
Magic healing when writers run out of ideas
This season had some great moments, but I was considerably more heated at the first 3 episodes than I was at the final season of Game of Thrones. Just horrible writing. Arturo gets “killed” in the most unsatisfying way. Stockholm acting like that rapist fucker raising her kid that he wanted aborted would be somehow better than the State taking care of him. The repeated showing of mercy to people ready to murder them without hesitation. The enemies somehow having invincible plot armor. Just leaving guns out for Arturo. Not tying Arturo up and hanging him over the bannister by his ankles the moment he got there. Everything about Arturo really. I mean if the prick has to live, just tie him to a stretcher and throw him out the front door. Gah.
It’s one thing to not do fan service but this is just shitting all over everything a fan would want out of a final season. I feel like Netflix did this because all the Dali masks popping up IRL made their billionaire owners too uncomfortable. Gotta remind the 99% that capitalism always wins…
If they killed him on purpose and didn't send him out,
They would be murderer's too.
But then I think.
After Rio's torture, Lisbon's capture, and Nairobi's death, +all the government involvement top down , and fabricating evidence, and not to forget Gandia's torture......killing a rapist dog such as Arturo REALLY wouldn't have set them back, considering they blew up an armed truck (albeit unknowingly) and gave everyone inside of it 2nd and 3rd degree burns
They gave him a senzu bean.
Right before that battle his neck was looking sticking out weirdly. Looked like really bad CGI
And what was Monica’s motivation again to join the heist if she’s so worried about her child & who survives to take care of them?
I mean, her name is Stockholm for a reason.
Some not very well thought through Romeo and Juliette logic I guess
Besides Stockholm syndrome, she has all those crimes under her belt now, and she fell in love with someone who actually wanted and willfully agreed to raise a child who's not his, AND he also loves her back.
Sorry but all I could focus on in this episode is the lady with the military. Everyone else is fully covered but she's wearing a skin tight vest with her arms exposed and hair out and flowing, I don't know much about army rules but surely that isn't an appropriate and safe uniform?? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, Sierra giving birth had me like 😨😨 the whole time, I wasn't even there and I felt like fainting. Also, is Monica seriously NOW considering the fact that she is ruining her child's life, what kind of fairy tale world is she living in??
But they had to show them as “outsiders” and crazy dogs, she could not follow the rules
"Mom can we have the bad batch?"
"But we have the bad batch at home?"
Bad batch at home:
Seriously what the hell are these..
How is Gandía well enough to be fighting?
Ikr? Wasn't he like completely immobilised and couldn't talk much and Palermo was gonna light candles if he was his mom? "One wrong move and he could lose his arm" and the next minute he's fighting bogota. And then after a while he is full on fighting with the rest of his team. I mean bruh.
I legit asked the same thing to my girlfriend 😂
Denver was also shot in the arm and a few moments later was completely fine
That's a real comic book motley crew storming the bank. The leader and his buddies with wacky back stories. On the roof, the woman looks like a roller derby queen, one of the guys is breathing heavy, the leader's giggling like Ron Swanson, and they're doing some sort of Native American chant to get pumped up?
I still can't get over the fact that one of the special forces peep's supervillain origin story is "staging illegal monkey fights".
Yeah, if *that* is meant to be the elite of the elite of Spain's armed forces, then it doesn't seem like there's too much to worry about
Budget bad batch
Fr, looks like character from team fortress or something.
LOLLLL loved that
Just needs a couple of hats and it's 100%.
So accurate lol
Show is becoming a bit of a cartoon. Even some of the military guys were bizarre comic suicide squad characters. How is that governor guard ok? The ratio of cool to absurd/contrived on this show was always slightly better than 1:1 for me. But since season 4 it’s been way sillier and ridiculous.
Always loved the show for its action but also it’s story and storytelling creativity. Now it seems like one crisis after another, on to the next with no real consequences or short term memory of what happened in the past 4 days during this heist.
Really feeling them trying hard to stretch and stretch.
The military guys were SO CRINGE. With the putting on of war paint to the war cry… like tf
dude Ive really jus started picturing this show as like a “comic-esque TV series/Cinema,” and it’s become a lot more appealing and gives me much better suspension of disbelief. Have just kinda learned not to take this show too seriously after season 2
Does anyone actually care about the Berlin story? I never see any of his scenes mentioned despite taking up quite a lot of time. It seems kind of pointless since he died 2 series/years ago so I can't even see how it can eventually tie into this series and if it does it won't mean much.
It's like he got a "I have to be in every episode" clause in his contract and when they killed him off they were like what now...
The time would be much better spent on the actual current characters.
I hate it. I wish they just stuck to the main cast inside the bank. I don’t care about Berlin’s character - he died, let him stay dead. No need to bring him back for flashbacks of a previous heist. Nor do I care about his son. This season has been a huge let down so far.
But we need to know how involving his wife (who looks a lot like Sierra) and perv son will tie back I to the story.
The community, myself included, really liked his character, mostly because of his charisma and we were sad that they killed him off.
At the start, the flashbacks were interesting, to show a bit more of his behind the scenes like the marriage in the monastery. As time has passed I'm done with his character, I don't give a damn if he had an estranged son and tried to talk him into robbing.
I'm only invested in the present.
Yeah same here. I liked that they included him in season 3 for a bit because it did give a bit of back story into the current characters and the current heist but now he's given a lot of time for nothing. Even if it does tie into the show eventually I'd rather it be cut because its not worth it.
Also sadly the back stories make me like him less and less, especially some of the ones from season 4. They've essencially found some way to fit in the character because people liked him a lot and didn't want to see him go, and are dragging it out so some people (me at least) are starting to not like him.
You have a point, the Berlin scenes got kind of annoying but I still liked them regardless. Berlin’s character is very interesting to me and those scenes gave my brain a break to process. If it was all the main cast and the bank, it’d get too overwhelming.
I love Berlin and his son is cute but that's such a huge unnecessary filler
They need him for fanservice but this story is so detached, the fans might as well see a different show feat berlin actor.
I know it will eventually tie somehow but unlike s3 it is starting off as completely detached story
I dont mind the plotty parts where you see him with other people eg. Palermo, but the entire thing with the son is being unnecessarily dragged. Like he's a delusional asshole with epic plans - I got that in S1 tyvm. Also the son is hilarious - in one episode he's all "you're crazy" and the next second he's heisting with his papa...
I dont know if its still happening but i remember reading something about plans for a Berlin spin off. in that case, they need to keep the character alive with these flashbacks. In the beginning they were interesting because they related to the current story and we got to learn more about the characters background. but since its been so long, completly detached and adding that i never cared that much for Berlin it just became really annoying at this point
Tamayo a fucking pig in a boss baby getup.
Omg I absolutely cannot unsee boss baby anymore!!
Also at least Alicia was charismatic and fairly effective, Tamayo is just screaming and yelling half the time while losing
Arturo not dying is almost being dragged on as much as not finding out who Raymond Reddington really is in The Blacklist.
"I will tell you the truth Elisabeth"
don't remined me... that show already got renewed for season 9 and i still haven't watched season 8 (and not sure if i want to because its been dragging on and on and on and on and on just let it die alreadyyyyyyy PLEASEEEE)
Season 8 is infuriating. You would save yourself a lot of time just watching a summary.
I dropped that trainwreck of a show by the 5th season.
Arturo is alive. Fuck me dead. If anyone saw my quote in the last thread I was celebrating. Too soon I guess. FUCK
Actually he is in critical condition
Still, he ain’t dead. That’s enough for me
Ikr, same feelings
I feel he will tell police to search Cinni
Agree. They wont kill him offscreen
Knowing this show he’ll be up and back in the bank in a couple eps.
HER WATER BROKE!!!!!!💦💦💦💦💦
Welcome to the spectacle of LIIIIIIIIFE!
Fuckin hilarious matched with Mersailles asking what part of the plan it is lmao
Was probably the first time in this heist Marseilles was lacking the skillset and experience for the situation.
Maybe because he was caught off guard? And how the heck did Alicia carry propesor from one place to another to trap Mersailles, knock him off, then carry Mersailles to the chair when she's about to give birth? Fckin crazy
I judt think he just never helped in the birthing process before.
I was really hoping for Alicia to take the Professor down tbh, but her storyline is another Raquel story rehashed.
True repeated plot :(
FINALLYYYYY CAN SHE JOIN THE GANG ALREADYYYY PLS
The baby joins the gang. Crime baby, yeah!
Major Ocean's 8 vibe but I'm gladddd
Marseille smiling like a proud papa in the background.
Glad I wasn’t the only one that was seeing him raise that child
Nice; that would make a hot ass couple!
Why didn't Helsinki evacuate. Palermo told him the spec ops guys were coming in through the roof, and to retreat to the museum. He refused, saying he needed to build a trench of sandbags down the hallway. His bizarre insistence for this nonsensical strategy lead to putting the entire team in danger, and all the tragedy that happens onward is his fault for refusing to listen. I don't get it at all and need the reason explained.
That's the difference between military and gang at display. The former accept orders, the latter have big brain rogue moments
exactly what I came to this subreddit to find out after seeing the first 30 seconds of the next episode (sorry for the kind of not really spoilers?) like dude there was ZERO reason to keep building that trench knowing they were about to blow it any second🤦🏻♂️ absolutely retarded
Lmao Berlin was just casually throwing shade at the Vikings.
He hated them.
very hypocritical of him
Gandia has godlike regen abilities lmao
Of course Arturo survives, he's the real protagonist of this story after all
They should make him some marvel character
Not Manila trying to convince Stockholm she's a good mother. Get outta here
that analogy was awful
why is monica having a breakdown, with her face visible to whole army, in front of the window through which nairobi got shot? homegirl should've stayed at home lmao. same goes for rio, he should stop with his shitty old school love, it's distracting tokyo
Arturito's revival has got to be the funniest things I've seen in a minute bro
At this point this is more of a comedy show with how ridiculous some scenes are.
I literally screamed when her water broke lmao but she's a tough cookie to break huh
Yeah I love that all the men there told her she can’t do it alone and her answer is to flash them and say “Welcome to the Spectacle of Life” lmaooo
lmfaoooo fr I kinda thought she was gonna give birth cause I didn’t see how else the professor was bouta get outta that, along with tokyos monologue where she mentions something about moms and it flashes to sierra. But yeah I really kinda hated her and still def do for Nairobi’s death but she definitely is one tough ass bitch😂 funny ash too
I love her
How many fucking lives does Arturo have? Kill him off already ffs.
Alicia’s breech baby is the best miracle!
I mean there’s no way she could deliver like that IRL. Breeches deliveries are very dangerous and most doctors in the US at least won’t attempt them - auto c-section. A bit more do them in other countries but you need to be well trained. How does the professor know so much about it?
Didn't you hear? It was the Birth plan.
Lol. I loved that line.
Breech plus the mother’s age would be a Caesarean for sure pretty much anywhere. In real life, the baby wouldn’t have made it and probably not Alicia either. Also if Alicia was keeping up with her scans she would already know the baby was breech because the baby turns and its head engages into position a while before the due date. Doctors would be checking that the baby is in the correct position at these scans. Nobody wants to do a C section as an emergency if they can help it.
Came here for this. How did she not know that? I guess she was too busy torturing Rio in Algeria to visit her OB/GYN.
I had been thinking all along that Alicia’s pregnancy was fake because she smoked cigarettes, drank coffee, ate sweets and was able to move around easily without getting tired.
Bar so low, that's not even the worst logic show had to offer
She ate sweets because the pregnancy gave her cravings.
I thought that about her pregnancy and her husband's death as well!
Denver argued with Stockholm about here not joining the heist. Now she is worried about their son?
Everyone here talking about arturo and the lady but can we talk about denver talking to his uncle that “ill be by julias side til *death*”
Im not ready for him to leave 😭
Omg I just realized
Have I missed something?
So did they put recording devices in the handcuffs? They wouldn't just let Tamayo speak so candidly while focusing on the table like that for no reason.
WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY SAVING ARTURO
He's the main character of this show lmao
They kill everyone but arturo, Fuck！
OH MY GOD ALICIA GAVE BIRTH
I’m sorry but so far this season has been horrible. It’s just been silly maneuvering from both sides that makes you go “really?”. I can suspend my belief but this show is just pushing it.
Also, why kill Arturo only to try and save him right after? Stupid writing tbh. I get Stockholm doesn’t want to believe she’s a murderer/ capable of murder, but girl, you’re a full grown criminal with hostages.
And the hostages getting weapons… like really? No one from the gang saw that?
God they’re all so fucking stupid and deserve to die lol. I’m only rooting for Alicia at this point.
It's just spreading the plot extremely thin. The first heist was filmed in 15 episodes, it was a well written and coherent story. The second heist is stretched across 26 episodes, the writing was really rushed and it shows. I loved the first heist, now I keep watching just to see how much more ridiculous the story could be.
yikes does Monica truly believe that having arturo raise her son is better than him being an orphan?
That kid would be fckd having to have a dad like that…
Were they recording through handcuffs? But they didn't release the audio
Yeah I don’t understand why they didn’t release the audio of the police trying to cover everything up
I found angel and Stockholm to be irritating. Also how did they have Sierra working this close to her (I’m assuming) due date.
The writers have to be taking the piss with this season right?
Just watched this episode. Exactly my thoughts. Season 4 was already contrived, but this is a new level. The show became so nonsensical and cartoonish. Seriously, I'm just watching it to see how it's all gonna end. Pretty much I switched my brain off and I now treat the show like a C class action movie, there's no other way to watch it.
Anyway, it's all gonna be a dumbfest, but at least I hope some character arcs turn out decent
- Come on! Let that piece of shit die already.
- Holy Shit! my guess on episode 1 was right. Her water breaks and needed The Professor help to deliver the baby.
- Damn the last 10min was intense
Bringing Arturito outside will make you murderers? Really? Did Tokio forget that she shot a RPG at an APC, killing the people inside and setting another officer on fire?
The army people putting on the war paint was hilarious
I fucking knew she would give birth this episode. But her pride bruh😭
This might be a stupid question or due to translation problems but when Palermo said "my vocation is a general in a military" hes referring to his position in the heist and not being literal? Or is this a peek at any potential backstory for him?
it’s a way to say that’s what he is supposed to be, his true calling
Thank you for the clarification! after rewatching it in my actual native language I realise it is a metaphor, but I found Palermos love of military strategy an interesting addition to his character!!
Also Tamayo is such a pig.
This Arturo revival thing is definitely going to drive a wedge between Monica and Denver… it’s annoying and nonsensical at this point.
Ultimately it seems like he was right about everything he said over the walk-in talkie
Not her water breaking at this critical moment. This show is staring to look like a comedy lmao
I don't get what Stockholm got on her mind saying to Denver that it would not happen again (they talked about time Denver shoot at her).
I think she was talking about how technically after Denver shot her, he didn’t go to jail nor did he die nor Stockholm die. So Stockholm was saying that type of luck won’t happen again with Arturo, that they wouldn’t go to jail after or someone wouldn’t die.
who is the kid from the grave as told by sierra when she was taunting the professor
Rio, she and Prieto had buried him alive
Hold on, how is the bald guy (forget his name) still working? I thought he needed surgery because he had things in his spine and if he made one wrong move he could lose feeling in his arm? Plus they beat the crap out of him.
WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY REVIVING ARTURO WTF IS GOING ONNNNNN
RIGHT WTF I'M SO MAD LET THAT BITCH DIE‼️
This has to be the most fanservicy thing in the last years.
For the evil evil police, to the transphobic society, to the art-hating Berlin and Tamayo, to the best of goodies Moscow
WHY TF IS STOCKHOLM TRYING TO REVIVE ARTURO AFTER SHOOTING HIM OMG I'M SO LIVID
Rio and Tokyo back again!! YESS!!
Yes but no
Endgame ship since the start for me.
But they won't kill Arturo, he's gonna do sm shit later ofc
The best thing about this season so far are the flashbacks.
yea i think she did this cos she's worried about her and the baby's situation rn since she's on the run. but it's still unclear what her endgame is.
I really think that she switched sides now.
They didn't kill Arturo by I hope this is the end of his story
He’s lucky Stockholm cares about being a murderer. Tamayo made Alicia wanted by everyone pretty much, I knew her water was gonna break during all this, she should be mad at Tamayo not professor. Those mercenaries are fucking insane.
Professor that lucky bastard.... He got to insert his hand into Monica's vijayjay!!
Do they want me to dislike Berlin's character? The more they show of him the less I like him but I liked him before... Using his own son and just an asshole to him.
Also, did Rio take his sons place in the heist?
