Spoiler free answer: The next avatar would be unaffected. But yeah, to find out why keep watching. :)

Not_yourBBQ

;) curiosity has pleasantly killed the cat

JustPassinhThrou13

You should really unsubscribe from this subreddit until you’ve finished the show. Come back then. Basically every post is a massive spoiler.

Not_yourBBQ

I understand, but even so, I don't really enter to this app much like I have today considering the chaos that I have caused today💀😂 and unlike other people, spoiler don't really bother me since I forget them fast either way.

BlankCanvas609

Goes for any tv show really

Rosbelle

The other half of the phrase is “but satisfaction brought it back” so… hooray for being alive? 😂

Not_yourBBQ

Thanks!😂

TeamPantofola

Dude you kinda just opened the Pandora Vase of the entire series. To answer your questions we should spoil to you AT LEAST three seasons. Come back when you’re finished

Not_yourBBQ

Uh yeah, kind thought it would happen... THANK YOU😂

DickBatman

> Pandora Vase Wtf a vase is always open though

BaselessEarth12

Exactly. Which makes it all the more enticing and dangerous!

Not_yourBBQ

And we love that😂

MrSquigles

At least three seasons? There are only three left. Three and a half, I guess.

SirLancedmyLot

The avatar cycle only breaks if the avatar is killed in the avatar state

MulciberTenebras

>!Or if Raava is destroyed!<

Mickeymackey

well they'd return eventually after a millennium, eventually the avatar will have to deal with Vaatu manifesting themselves inside them. A future avatar have to make the decision to extract Vaatu again and destroy them, or lock them up, or bond with both Vaatu and Raava.

Andariell1

I don’t think so. The avatar is a combination of Raava (with the elements) + Human (either having one element o none if Raava have the four of them). So I strongly believe if Raava is destroyed and the human is killed, Raava would eventually show up after 10.000 years, but the original human fused with her won’t. In the end, Raava would continue fighting with Vaatu, but there won’t be another “Avatar” unless another human fuses with her and the elements within.

chitoge4ever

Don't roll into this sub like it's nbd. There's spoilers out in the open. If you still want discussion then come after each season and specify you don't want to be spoiled on next seasons.

masterspider5

Amon uses a mix of>! blood bending and chi blocking !

Ibreathoxygennow

i dont think its so much of bending stealing as it is bending blocking, since he doesnt gain their bending abilities after and as seen from Korra, it is possible to unblock their ability to bend

jofbaut

Yeah, what he does is basically just a >!lobotomy!< but with extra steps.

CocaPepsiPepper

Amon is actually Tenzin’s twin who inherited energybending from Aang, who helped conceive him during the Avatar State, so he can take people’s bending. In the season finale Amon uses energybending to bring back Sozin’s Comet but makes it Amon’s Comet instead through energybending, making nonbenders stronger than benders. Korra takes her own bending so she can revive Sokka, who kills Amon with his boomerang. Oops did I spoil too much 😦

Not_yourBBQ

You DID and my jaw is DROPPED WOW

Sijsjsjsjsjsjjs

Remember when that scene when Zuko gets fuckin ripped and snaps Amon's comet's neck.

AveryLazyCovfefe

And when Iroh comes back embodied as the sun spirit just like yue was for the moon.

Yetiani

Don't you dare to come to the sub again till you finish the series, it's for your own good, hahaha for real there are spoilers every other post

AlternateWitness

OP: *Asks spoiler question* OP: *Gets spoiler answer* OP: *Shocked Pickachu face*

Not_yourBBQ

RIGHT!? AMAZINGGGG

JasperTheHuman

Bold of you to be on the korra sub without having watched it all.

TheW0lvDoctr

No

Justadnd_Bard

Amon is Kora's twin, after Aang failled to stop a disaster and died the avatar spirit was split in two. The white lotus found the Avatar when he was a baby using a spirit, but they only took one when both babies were the avatar. (Hire me nickelodeon, I'm too stronk.)

Not_yourBBQ

Now I just feel as if y'all are fuk*Ng with me💀

Justadnd_Bard

Pfft, I would never. I'm about to be hired by Nickelodeon. Source:I made it up.

Lil-HobbKnobbler

just watch the show, you bum.

Not_yourBBQ

I'm a very impatient person🤷🏻😂

GeologistSad6506

Hmmm I would think of it more as blocking rather than taking away. A bit like how angs avatar state was blocked in ATLA.

Runeskimmylord

Watch the show

Not_yourBBQ

It's really good

RoamingNPC

Spoiler explanation. Amon doesn’t technically take the bending. He closes/locks peoples chakra points so they couldn’t bend.

Other-Fennel-776

This is absolutely a spoiler. >!Amon being a blood bender, let alone a bender at all was a twist and a pivotal point in the story.!< Edit: user I replied to edited their comment.

RoamingNPC

Bleh

swallowyourtongue

What part of this is spoiler free lmao

Not_yourBBQ

It's NOT, And honestly, I'm enjoying it😂

klauszen

On S02 Korra loses her powers again and she used only air as her native element. This means Amon severed Korra's bending, not the avatar's bending. She herself as a person only had air, but she regained the others after an avatar state. If she had died just after her lobotomy, the next avatar would have only air, and after he/she reconnect with thr past lives he/she might regain the other elements.

AlternateWitness

Not only are you wrong, this is also a spoiler. Idk how it’s both, but it is.
