Been cable free for 5 years. I'd never go back to being charged out the ass for cable or satellite.
I pay $90 for internet ($30 of that is to get unlimited data cap) and use streaming tv. I stood up a fubo trial in 30 seconds after my youtube tv cut out. I'm also going to cancel my youtube tv membership.
All of this without needing to return equipment, have installers/delivery to the house, etc. It's maybe slightly inconvenient at times, but it's also much cheaper. Equipment rental fees are a joke
Cable price hikes is why I started using streaming services, but each their own. I think I should highlight the contract-free part of the streaming services. You can just join and cancel, hop between them as your needs change or as their services change
They would have to be heavily subsidized by the other members of whatever conference they joined unless a bunch of other nearby schools moved up with them
Hey everyone's been saying fuck ESPN and Dis-I'm sorry "The Mouse" (seriously one of the dumbest memes ever), Google, and everyone other large business entity forever on the internet, they finally listened and now we don't get to watch anything! Yay we won!
I really appreciate how little redditors understand business. They have a contract (insert Silicon Valley "we have a contract" scene here), and when both parties couldn't agree on renewal terms, the contract ran out at the time they had to cut the feed, which obviously would be the end of Friday. YTTV didn't go "yeah fuck these fucks, let's cut the ESPN stream early", if they didn't cut it, ESPN/Disney could have sued them for a shitton.
Yeah no shit they have a contract that lapsed.
The problem is that Disney is holding Google hostage on cost increases. Google is fighting back. And neither company actually gives a shit that the customers are the ones who lose in this scenario.
It'd be like one day apple decided to have a contract disagreement with Verizon so all customers with iphones on Verizon suddenly lost the use of their phones.
It's two mega corporations screwing over the consumer again. Disney wants you to buy Hulu plus and Google doesn't want to pay for the coverage.
We're right back where we were when cable companies were still screwing us pre-cordcutting era.
The problem should have never gotten to this point.
Goddamnit. I couldn’t foresee that stupidity. Just what the hell? That’s so frustrating and frankly embarrassing. Wtf were those last 3 plays.
This is why we lost 3 times in a row. That 17-13 championship game was so bad on our part. (NDSU beat us soundly 28-20). Andddd wtf happened last year letting that team come back?! But bi god this result was so maddening. Just like the last 5 years of playoffs
Would’ve enjoyed an underdog win (I know), but that was some good shit. What’s the deal with the Alabama song, though. That’s what they celebrate with in North Dakota?
Would've been nice to win tonight but I'm hoping sunbelt conference games are easier to access than CAA games, I had to listen by radio how we lost to villanova
Rutgers is a fine university in a mighty big market, but if was up to me we kick them out and take NDSU instead. Since this clearly won't happen anytime soon, go win another championship for North Dakota!
If the move is football only like Hawaii, then maybe. They'd risk losing their rivalries in an MVFC that has been seriously stepping up their game in terms of quality in exchange for being geographically isolated from a conference they have no stake in whatsoever. And for what? An annual Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl appearance?
Yeah jmu will be able to walk into pretty quick deals with Liberty, Virginia, and Tech most likely. NDSU would have to pray to get Wyoming and a couple Washington or Oregon teams that wouldn’t want the travel and challenge of playing @NDSU anyway
That doesn’t even include the cost of traveling to other places. Like with the SEC the furthest you’d prolly go is like Kentucky to Florida or Texas A&M. NDSU would have to travel to like Kansas to play games.
If you're local and don't want to throw big money at tickets, there's usually a few scalpers selling their very last tickets for below face if you miss the first 5 minutes of the game. Tailgating with a Bison crowd there will be hopping, as will every bar in Frisco and Addison.
My watch isn't accurately reflecting my heart rate right now lol, lucky to get out of here with the win tonight. Good game JMU, good luck at the next level
My honest take? We finish 8-4 next year in transition (Sunbelt is awful, no matter what you may hear). Bowl eligible '23 is 6-6, we play in Mobile (hit me up, I'll host) then it's downhill. I know the BOV backs Cig (but he plays not to lose. Mickey 2.0. This transition is not going to go well and when we aren't running train the mid-tier boosters who finally got their way are going to turn on the AD and coach
WTF am I paying for ESPN+ for if I'm getting blocked on their dumb app also? I only use it for football and maybe a fight card if I remember.
Basically anything you could say about the Mouse would be a bannable offense.
With YouTube TV gone, you can post anything in here and dozens or hundreds of users will think it's real!
Let the record show that Dwight K. Schrute is now completely nude and is holding a plastic knife to Stanley's neck?!
I'm honestly surprised by the number of fellow YouTube TV viewers. I doubt there will be any more highlight threads, but that was a major source for me with this sub. Lost every FBS game that aired on ESPN this season. Fun ride though!
From 2000 to 2010 season their were 8 different teams besides App State who won 3 in a row, who won championships. Since 2011-2021 NDSU has won 8 of the 10 played championships. I don’t honestly see how they shouldn’t make a jump for the FBS.
In terms of quality they definitely should. The trouble for teams like NDSU is that they're in the middle of nowhere and all of their closest rivals (UND, SD, SDSU) are also in the middle of nowhere. Minnesota is the only FBS team is a state bordering North Dakota. To get to Madison, for example, is a ten hour drive. Also, what conference is going to pick up a team in a market of 250,000 which is literally a thousand miles plus from all but a couple conference teams?
I’m serious, illegal streams always load faster than the ESPN app and work better quality on my wifi than using my parent’s tv provider to stream the games on the actual tv app
This is seriously true, when i moved to college i no longer had ready access to cable so I had to turn to other means, and it straight up works better than most ESPN stuff. And it has fun twitch chat.

Well at least we're getting a $15 credit from YTTV.
What happened tonight is the reason I choose to still overpay for cable.
Been cable free for 5 years. I'd never go back to being charged out the ass for cable or satellite. I pay $90 for internet ($30 of that is to get unlimited data cap) and use streaming tv. For now… but yeah, that’s a serious benefit
If Hawaii can play in D1 then NDSU can too. Excuses all you want but step up. It’s like the kid who refuses to raise the difficulty.
Bruh
They would have to be heavily subsidized by the other members of whatever conference they joined unless a bunch of other nearby schools moved up with them
Hey everyone's been saying fuck ESPN and Dis-I'm sorry "The Mouse" (seriously one of the dumbest memes ever), Google, and everyone other large business entity forever on the internet, they finally listened and now we don't get to watch anything! Yay we won!
Fuck ESPN
The real enemy here is Hulu, who, if you have the + bundle, won't let you simply add Live TV if you want, lol.
Okay can anyone recommend alternatives to YT TV and fubo holy fuck
Pirating
I really appreciated YouTube TV turning off the ESPN access with 2 minutes left in the game. Fuck Disney and fuck Google.
I really appreciate how little redditors understand business. They have a contract (insert Silicon Valley "we have a contract" scene here), and when both parties couldn't agree on renewal terms, the contract ran out at the time they had to cut the feed, which obviously would be the end of Friday. Didn’t like the goal line calls. Running back was running down hill. Just try to punish your way into the end zone
How do you even stumble on that play before like that even old bones Brady wouldn’t lol.
Whoever thought to play "If You're Gonna Play in Texas" deserves a raise.
They do it every time, for a lot of years now.
Oh wow, that rocks! I love that.
It's a tradition at this point.
I didn't know that, that's really cool!
I still can’t believe that interception though. Unreal skill, timing, clutch as hell.
They come with their necks ready to roll
Would’ve enjoyed an underdog win (I know), but that was some good shit. What’s the deal with the Alabama song, though. That’s what they celebrate with in North Dakota?
“If you wanna play in Texas, you gotta have a fiddle in the band” The championship is in Frisco, Texas
Maybe cuz NDSU is the Alabama of FCS? Idk I’m just spitballing. I’m not being sarcastic btw I’m genuinely just guessing.
Its impressive, they have had 3 head coaches in the past 10 years and still kick butt in FCS/I-AA.
I just hope this one actually stays. No way we get lucky with another head coach if he leaves.
Championship is in Texas, fits the theme heading back to play in Tx.
That makes sense.
I'm not the only one who thinks the announcer is saying Byzantine any team he tries to pronounce bison team
Well I do believe that the locals are sticklers about it being pronounces Bizon, rather than Bison, so I can totally see that stretch.
Yeah you definitely pronounce it like a 'z' but the announcers put a lot more emphasis on it than we do.
What is this muzak?
Got that Fargo North Dakota rhythm
that ends JMU's run in FCS
Would've been nice to win tonight but I'm hoping sunbelt conference games are easier to access than CAA games, I had to listen by radio how we lost to villanova
kinda awkward
JMU can go FBS but NDSU can’t. Give me a break, time to step up.
Location is terrible for NDSU. Closest conference is the Big Ten and we all know that’s not happening
Rutgers is a fine university in a mighty big market, but if was up to me we kick them out and take NDSU instead. Since this clearly won't happen anytime soon, go win another championship for North Dakota!
I definitely would support this but I couldn’t take NDSU playing Iowa every year Edit: grammar
That’s bull Hawaii is more isolated then North Dakota but they’re D1. They’re just content not upping the difficulty.
As a student I can tell you that we are not content with the difficulty. Market size is another argument keeping us out. Also FCS is D1
Bad take incoming: MW should take Montana, Montana St., North Dakota St., and South Dakota St.
Actually though. Some day when Boise State and San Diego State get sniped by a P5 conference, I could see this happening.
NDSU is in North Dakota. JMU is in Virginia. Hell of a lot easier to play other FBS teams in Virginia than in North Dakota.
Yep the nearest G5 school is either Wyoming or Ball State neither is exactly the greatest fit
Hawaii is more isolated then ND, they can fly.
Hawaii gets tourism money (probably). NDSU doesn’t.
Yeah jmu will be able to walk into pretty quick deals with Liberty, Virginia, and Tech most likely. NDSU would have to pray to get Wyoming and a couple Washington or Oregon teams that wouldn’t want the travel and challenge of playing @NDSU anyway
But Hawaii is more isolated and can get FBS teams to play them but ND can’t? Make them independent.
I think Hawaii has a bit more appeal than North Dakota to be fair
That doesn’t even include the cost of traveling to other places. Like with the SEC the furthest you’d prolly go is like Kentucky to Florida or Texas A&M. NDSU would have to travel to like Kansas to play games.
Hawaii is more isolated, try harder with excuses. They should step up.
Sounds like you’re trying to impersonate your username. Cheers bud have a beer 🍻
Yep no feasible conference to join. Not sure anyone would want them anyway
This other guy gotta be a JMU fan lmao. No way he’s this mad over a school he didn’t even play.
Hawaii is farther away they can make NDSU play games, they’ll be fine.
What a game! Go Bison!!!
Later Dukebros. Enjoy paying more to lose more at the next level.
I remember when Richmond used to be a rivalry. Faint memories, but they’re there
>Faint memories Going to be saying that about winning games soon enough.
So we’ll just be like you now?
Exactly. Only well pay far less (already did, hence not a rivalry). Nothing we have said is factually incorrect.
Boo!
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Does coach have a grill?
Braces
Maybe next year jmu
Nope
The next FCS game is must watch Go MontanA
Montana State ?
Coach is a hardoo with no voice lmao
Frisco South yet again
Nice song choice 😂
Bison are pretty cool animals
Hey that's our song
just up the road from frisco, may try to go to this game.
If you're local and don't want to throw big money at tickets, there's usually a few scalpers selling their very last tickets for below face if you miss the first 5 minutes of the game. Tailgating with a Bison crowd there will be hopping, as will every bar in Frisco and Addison.
PM me if you're serious - I got two on the 40 yd line
Maybe we’ll be able to send a scholarship or 3 to competent quarterbacks next year. Jesus.
Sometimes all you need is a really good 6th Man!
My watch isn't accurately reflecting my heart rate right now lol, lucky to get out of here with the win tonight. Good game JMU, good luck at the next level
I know how you feel. My watch told me I burned 500 calories during the Michigan Ohio State game and I never left my chair once.
I don’t think people understand how difficult it is going to be for jmu next year
Oh, I do, much better than any of the idiiots on facebook or csnbbs. But FUCK man last chance to win a title and now it jumps a notch. Fuck...
I have a sad feeling that it will be a decade of really rough football. I have some worries with Cignatti as well
My honest take? We finish 8-4 next year in transition (Sunbelt is awful, no matter what you may hear). Bowl eligible '23 is 6-6, we play in Mobile (hit me up, I'll host) then it's downhill. I know the BOV backs Cig (but he plays not to lose. Mickey 2.0. when is the next FCS Semi final?
Tomorrow early afternoon, I want to say 1 or 3pm ET
oh dang I wanted the other FCS semi to be a night game.
Tomorrow at 2
Tomorrow 2ET
Tomorrow, Noon est I think
Damn lmaoooooooo
Life sucks, maybe the dispute will done in a few days
Lol at the woman with the sneaky SDSU sweatshirt
LOL haha I saw that
Did... did the players just storm the stands?
It's tradition
I saw that. Ain’t it supposed to go the other way?
Not when the Pacers and Pistons play.
Pretty big drop in the dome, has never really worked to storm from the stands.
I’m sorry that happened that way JMU fans.
This JMU QB is a literal statue.
Dudes were coordinating how to hold a flag
FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK gg Bison, let's do this again never. Good luck in Frisco
Cole Johnson, what is u doing bb?
That was so bad lol
Haha, they couldn't figure out how to hold up their flag
Oof…tough way to end it for JMU…
What an anticlimactic bummer of an ending.... That ain't it Cole.
Wooooo!
Thank you to the kind soul who posted the stream.
pain
The Bison are returning to Frisco
This JMU QB is so bad it’s painful to watch
BIZZZZZZON
What a great game
Dude this QB is not an athlete
Cole Johnson looking like Luke Fickell with that clock management
What a game
I said it before and I’ll say it again, Cole Johnson hates moving
Can't do that... damn
Oof not a great play there by the QB
Johnson just cannot pass accurately whenever NDSU blitzes
Flip it OOB what the hell?
You played yourself
Hoodie guy make a great Td catch alright
I know…he should’ve just latex a leg down….that’s frustrating as hell
Laid* Not latex…although that would’ve been very interesting
Just so I can get ahead of this thing… JMU will score, but then miss the extra point. You heard it here first
Not quite
If you sell American flag apparel outside this building you’d be a millionaire tomorrow
Fully expecting this to end with shenanigans.
We got that great bowl game and now this game here
CMOn cole
WTF am I paying for ESPN+ for if I'm getting blocked on their dumb app also? I only use it for football and maybe a fight card if I remember. Basically anything you could say about the Mouse would be a bannable offense.
If the games get bumped to any espn cable channel, they aren't available with plus anymore. It's kinda bullshit.
it’s so dumb that we pay for ESPN+ subscriptions but it doesn’t allow us to use the regular ESPN channels - that should be included. so ridiculous
ESPN+ is different from the cable login
This is basically the 21st century version of the Heidi game
[удалено]
Neckroll
PLEASE JMU LETS SEE SOME PARITY!
1st play had a false start, 2nd play had an offside, lol.
6th man?
Sir this is a basketball game on grass
I've always stated that one bounce passes should count in football
With YouTube TV gone, you can post anything in here and dozens or hundreds of users will think it's real! Let the record show that Dwight K. Schrute is now completely nude and is holding a plastic knife to Stanley's neck?!
FALSE. BLACK BEARS.
I see it too
I AM NOW CHOPPING OFF PHYLLIS' HEAD WITH A CHAINSAW
..........grrrrinnnngrrinnnnggrriiinnn....
Andy!!
This clock operator is gonna kill a second every single play on this drive, I guarantee it
Noted thing in football, the 6th man
i don’t think we win this
Disney couldn’t have at least waited until after bowl season to pull this crap? Greedy assholes
Not gonna lie that’s probably a big reason why they are pushing it right now: dangle the CFP/NY6 to get Google to cave
fair point!
Give Google/YouTube TV some blame too.
yeah fair, they deserve just as much
I'm honestly surprised by the number of fellow YouTube TV viewers. I doubt there will be any more highlight threads, but that was a major source for me with this sub. Lost every FBS game that aired on ESPN this season. Fun ride though!

55 seconds at their own 35. No timeouts. JMU taking the snap.
Good thing that play clock started for us immediately after the punt return. Good to see the clock working…
S I X T H M A N
The 6th man?
Glad they're not stealing our trademark I guess
So your 3 options for watching live sports these days A) pay for cable B) get fucked by the mouse c) just watch over the air stuff
D) *illegal streams*
100% what is going to happen. Fuck Disney, right in the ear. The Colleges need to realize what they did making a deal with the devil
