What trade do you want back?
By - Cheeto6666
As a Cardinals fan, we thank you
Yeah, no backsies, sorry.
Lock it down, this is the thread.
The Texans are still a 6-7 win team in 2020, Deshaun is still a freak, and the Texans are still near the bottom of the NFL rn with Hopkins
Probably means the Tunsil trade
All that aside, are you trying to say that it was a good trade for the Texans
IOL is our biggest roster hole right now, OG specifically
Counterpoint, that pick was part of the Diggs package.
I'm sure some other form of change would have worked out for the vikes
Fine, just give us Bitnonio instead then
^(do I really need an /s?)
You'll get Michael Dunn and you'll love him
Fair enough, as long as he's free
Might be better than our starters who knows
I acknowledge that Teller wouldn't be as good as he is without Bill Callahan coaching him, but he'd still probably be starting for us.
Came here to say this
Greg Olsen to the Panthers for a fucking 3rd round pick.
Fuck Mike Martz.
[“Tell Martz I said fuck him”](https://youtu.be/CJtPjkSTZyE)
Cutler was such a legend
>Fuck Mike Martz.
Hi Smokin Jay
Trubisky for a 1, (2x) 3's, and a 4
Even now it's like ripping a band-aid off my armpit
Herschel Walker trade was not preferable in hindsight
It also created a generation of insufferable Cowboy fans, sigh.
I was conceived out of wedlock after my parents saw the movie Roadhouse. It’s a classic story they tell every Christmas.
But in public, I tell people I was conceived because of the Herschel Walker trade.
Roadhouse is the world's aphrodisiac.
No because then maybe Herschel walker is even more famous today
I agree on the player level but that pick got us Thuney which took the edge off
The Roy Williams trade for the Cowboys never gets talked about anymore. Set us back a while.
It was a crazy fleece. Jerruh just loves his texas boys though. He probably would have given away all your picks for a few years for Stafford some years ago lol.
Dallas could’ve gotten Percy Harvin in that 09 draft if they didn’t make that trade for Roy Williams.
1st, 3rd & 6th round picks for Roy Williams. Just a monumentally dumb trade. Wasn't Jerry's first dumb trade for a WR. There was also the 2 1st round picks for Joey Galloway in 2000.
The Yannick trade sucked. He just wasn’t a scheme fit for us and didn’t have the mentality like he didn’t play hard on run plays.
I mean we traded a 3rd round pick, rented him for a year, and got a 4th rd comp pick back I beleive.
It was low risk high reward, just didn't work out.
It didn’t work out for us either.
He didnt work here either
Well he did it’s just that he didn’t like us
Facts! 37.5 sacks, 14 FF, 42 TFL, and 85 QB hits through his first 4 seasons is extremely productive!
Yea but it didnt work out. Plus that was when he was the 3rd or 4th best on the team.
It didn’t work out because the culture was garbage and the FO didn’t want to pay him, not because he didn’t perform well.
He was NOT 3rd or 4th best on the DL. He was as impactful as Calais in terms of pressure and disruption. His only knock was that he liked to rush to the outside, which occasionally left the B gap open, but that’s more on Wash as the coordinator.
If butterfly effect means we still get to keep Trevor give me a happy Ramsey back
Happy Ramsey and a happy Ngakoue with T-Law would be awesome
Damn we are such a dumpster fire smfh
Do you believe in curses?
Thats a good one... Though, its been more than 50 years so somehow Bobby Layne's voodoo magic is more powerful than even he thought.
I love waddle, right now I’d rather have the first we gave up tho and have whoever was at 12 like slater/parson etc. I still stand by the trade with San Fran as a good idea but we got cute with the trade back up to 6 IMO.
If Slater or Sewell was in Miami instead of LA or Detroit Tua would still be there without the injury
That’s What I think. Waddle is good but Miami is a black hole when you look the Oline
Thanks for that trade bud. Got an extra 1st and Smith
Samesies, sort of. I just want a redraft
Brandon Weeden 3rd overall?
I meant 2014 redraft but I wasn't clear enough and now I'm doomed
Dude looked great in college and benefited from running behind a great offensive line.
WHY DIDNT YOU WANT TO BE HERE RODNEY HUDSON WHY DID WE TRUST GRUDEN ON ANDRE JAMES? WHY?
Literal worst center in the league, horrific trade even if he wanted out
At least you guys did end up trading him...wasnt he set to be released originally? Getting nothing for Hudson wouldve been inexcusable.
Pretty much. Hudson wanted out so we got what we could for him I suppose. Also sent him to an upncoming team as well.
But holy shit, Andre James is pure trash, football wise.
I thought it would have been the Mack Trade
Ogletree wasn't worth a ham sandwich on that stupid contract let alone a 4th
Reaching into the vault for this one, but you’re not wrong.
Wow, coming here as a Cards fan and seeing Hop, Hudson, and Chandler Jones mentioned. Apparently, we're good at trading?
Wym? Box safeties are so fetch right now
Sad thing is that might not even be the trade they are referring to. I for one would have preferred to not detonate our OL, give up $10 mil in cap/yr, and keep our 1st rounder back in 2015 at the height of our SB contention.
Don’t people think he’s good?
Dude is talented for sure, but he doesn’t have an actual impact on how well the defense plays. When you trade 2 first round picks for a player, they should be dominant.
Charles Haley to the cowboys
Yes, I know this was sort of a no brainer for the future... but this team would have a winning record right now with Stafford at QB, no doubt in my mind. Would have loved to see Stafford and coach Dan work together.
Take Odell please lol
Zeitler's name has not been called once this season. I actually forgot he was on the team. I'm in love.
To me, letting him go has been Gettleman's #1 most boneheaded move as GM of the Giants. What's that, our biggest weakness as a franchise is run blocking? Let's release our best lineman for a pittance of cap space. Can't believe that didn't get as much ire as his other decisions.
That's been Zeitler's curse. Teams needing his oline talents have bizarrely parted with him 3 times.
He played very well in week 3 and should’ve gone off for a monster game week 4. Last game wasn’t good but Baker looked like his regular, efficient self and wasn’t forcing anything Odell’s way. Honestly, it’s a super limited sample size for reasons that have nothing to do with Odell, but when Baker and Odell have shared the field together and Baker has played well, then Odell usually also plays well. Honestly yesterday’s game is the first example I can even think of where Baker played well and Odell didn’t.
Hey me too.
I would trade a first rounder for him in a heartbeat.
There’s about 5 teams that wish they had Cooks back lol man is so disrespected
Jamal Adams for a boat load of firsts.
Cordarrelle Patterson. Loved watching the guy play for us. Nothing dynasty-changing, just a fun player to watch.
Especially as we traded him for pennies
I think the trades we have made recently have been good. However, with hindsight, I wish we kept Demario Davis instead of letting him go for Avery Williamson. Good move at the time, but ended poorly for us.
Ray Allen for Gary Payton. Seriously wtf.
Deforest Buckner come back bby
I just want a defense man.
So the Peters trade?
Falcons, can you take back Sanu and give us back our 2nd?
Perfect example of right idea but really bad outcome. Sanu has like one good game, got injured, then did nothing in 2019.
Jalen Ramsey trade
In recent memory, Wyatt Teller. Although, I imagine Callahan played a big part in his leap
Jarred Kelenic for Edwin Diaz and Robinson Canó
DRC for Kolb is one that comes to mind
Brandon Cooks for the pick used on Ryan Ramczyk.
Recently? Probably trading Emmanuel Ogbah. I always thought he was a really good player when healthy and he would’ve been incredibly useful on our roster literally ever since we got rid of him.
All time? Probably trading out of the Julio Jones pick
Hershel Walker hands down. There’s no fucking planet where any running back is worth that much compensation.
Hershal Walker. I don’t care if it’s 30 years old
Recency bias but I’d rather have that 2nd rounder than whatever Sanu did when he was here
Frank Clark. My god.
I think the Quandre Diggs one hurt the more from the Patricia era. That or Slay
I want Deforest Buckner back.
Can we get our first rounder, third rounder and jabrill peppers back please?
Our trade down to the eagles. We could’ve either stayed at 3 and picked Chase or Sewell who look like future top 10 guys at their position or stayed at 12 and secured Slater or Micah and still had our first rounder this year.
Shady for Alonso😐
I think the Brandon cooks trade was not great looking back on it. We did get a first round pick and we did not want to pay him the money he wanted but we are still looking for a number 1 receiver and cooks would have give us a deep ball threat as well.
Josh Gordon trade
Why? He's still been suspended twice since that trade and barely played overall. If he still couldn't stay clean while playing for Patriots/Seahawks, Browns would not have changed anything.
Think we could have gotten more than just a fifth (that we used on the current Lions kicker mind you) for him at the time
If you could've gotten more than a 5th, then you would have. You were lucky to get a 5th round pick for a guy that played 6 games in 4 years, and then found himself suspended again the same season.
