Ngl Chelseas Lukaku reveal is cold af
Just watched Messi’s first training session, man that PSG team really is a joke. They literally have world class players in almost every single position.
Chelsea are gonna announce Lukaku before we announce Varane aren't they? lol
During Varanes quarantine, PSG has signed and unveiled Messi, and Chelsea started negotiations with Inter and unveiled Lukaku and we're struggling to officially unveil someone we announced that we settled a deal with Madrid about 15 days ago.
Can someone pls let me know if its possible to use a digital ticket in someone elses name? They dont check do they?
When can we get the update for CHAMPION LEAGUE VARANE?
I am so sick of seeing these knobs on Twitter believing everything Luckhurst says, and taking a dump all over our players that aren’t Pogba or martial.
Twitter fanboys literally hate some guys that represent the badge and it drives me crazy. I gotta stick to the sub haha
Instead of getting mad and hurting your neurons, quit your twitter account. I've been facebook/twitter free since 2016.
Mods - can we get a working FPL league code please? sidebar code doesn't work
In honor of our third kit reveal I made this fun little graphic.

Just seen today that the United stand have brought Paul Ince on as a ‘guest’ for the new season pahahaha can you actually be any more out of touch
Anything to Garner rejecting a new contract with us? I would be disappointed to lose someone with his potential.
Varane starts training from today, right?
I think he is already with the lads even if we haven’t announced yet🤞
It is prime time for websites and YT channels to predict the PL rankings. Most of them see us at absolute top 4, but none (yeah) predicts us to be champions or top 2. Most put us at 3rd, some see us at 4th.
I have only watched some but the main reasons they put forward were:
1. Transfers - They see Varane and Sancho as quality arrivals, but most believe us to be lacking a DM, and an RB. We believe this too.
2. Ole - They do not mark Ole out as incompetent, but they kinda all see him to be a bit behind the likes of Tuchel, Klopp, Pep tactically. I think this is due to his PPG and our recent knockout games, which is a shame since we have a pretty good top 6 records against these managers.
3. Opposition - City is as strong as ever, and Chelsea just won CL. They also have excellent managers, insane depth and is looking to strengthen. They only put Liverpool behind us as there is concern about the form of the front 3 and injuries for their CBs.
4. Some other shits like our mentality have been like too much of an underdog (which is BS), or the uncertainty of our starting GK.
I am kinda sad, but also pumped up that we can prove them wrong. Looking forward to the season with full stadium.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good season review for 2020/2021? I haven't seen the club release an official one. Any recommendations appreciated
I was waiting for NBC to do one on YouTube, haven’t found a good one yet either!
Convince me I am wrong: VdB is starting vs. Leeds
I put him on the bench in Man utd match day prediction App. The defense picks itself then I have Pogba and Matic as my 2 holding mids with James and Greenwood on either side of Bruno. Martial plays as striker
No chance Pogba and Matic play against Leeds.
Matic is our most press resistant midfielder.
There’s a question around him having the legs for the 90 obviously, but on paper he wouldn’t be a disaster.
I personally think Scott is more press resistant. You can question his ball progression, it certainly hasnt got the range Matic gets on a pass, but he can evade pressure easier in my opinion. Matic positions himself very well but I get nervous when players swarm him
Maybe he is better now but Matic at his best is like he has the ball glued to his foot when he is near our own penalty box, and can pop a pass through the press or find someone out on the wing.
The annoying thing with Fred is he actually was known for being someone quite press resistant and a line breaking passer. If he kept it simple he could be that, but he too often likes to take an extra touch or tries a risky pass.
Yeah agreed totally with Fred I sometimes feel as if he’s trying to be something he’s not out on the pitch sometimes. The Fred we saw from late 2019 to early/mid 2020 is the one I want to see consistently.
He's also one of the few to have had a full pre-season. That has to count for something.
Pogba might be used at LW/LF though, in which case it wouldnt surprise me if we go with McFred.
Donny is Bench
With 1 day left until the season starts we still don’t have an r/reddevils Fantasy league. I can just create a league for us if nobody is going to do it.
Overlap debate with Gary Neville Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher part 1
Has anyone bought a kit recently and could provide a link? I did DH Gate 2+ weeks ago for the new away kit but the guy hasn't shipped yet and have a feeling it will end up canceling. Trying to get one hopefully by the end of August
I got one through DH Gate in early July and just received it 3 days ago.delay was coz they didn’t have the player version I ordered so I had to wait a bit…n yeah, the quality is very good
Had a feeling everything would be delayed, guess I just have to be patient lol
You will definitely get it, have you been in touch with the vendor to find out why the delay? Also bare in mind that they are shipped via regular post so it moves around quite a bit in China before it finally leaves the country but once it lands in your country it will take a less time to receive it. Mine took less than 24hrs from clearing customs to be delivered home
Have a particular vendor or just go off reviews?
how does one attached pics to a message? I can show you my shirt
You can sign up for imgur. Then make a post and put the link here
Someone from here recommended a particular vendor who he got from…the vendor was good, always responded to questions within same day and was very reassuring I got worried that Jersey was taking long to ship
Do they look real? I've seen the pictures on the site and they don't have the Adidas logo on em.
They don’t put the logo or any of the patches on what’s displayed on their site…I don’t know how to share photos on here but I could show you mine
Roy Keane: "If you think Fred and Mctominay and Matic in midfield will get Manchester United back to the heights of winning league titles then you're living in Cuckoo Land."
If Matic somehow could get his legs through 20-25 full league games this season then he really could fill a massive hole. Obviously easier said than done. The Matic of 4-years ago would be pretty much perfect for us now.
Yea but who would play 3 of them in a midfield 3?
Based on their current ability Yes BUT if you and Roy Keane think players don't improve, you two are also living in Cuckoo Land. Fred, Mctominay and VdB might surprise you.
McTominay has improved every season and has potential. Fred I think is close to or has already reached his ceiling.
We need one of Fred and mcTominay in our starting XI, not both. They're both better than Herrara who was somehow adored just 'cause he'd say few good things on social media. We need to supplement them with an elite midfielder and that midfielder is sadly not Paul Pogba.
Fred is 28. He’s not improving much further from here
There have been evidences of players improving at that age even. Arjen Robben was a great player but turned absolutely world class at 29. That’s just one of so many examples.
Although not saying it will or won’t happen.. Defensive mids don’t suddenly decide they will become great. Most play at CM and slowly become Mature enough to become a solid DM.
I know it wouldn’t happen now but you know I was just thinking about who I would love for us to sign to be our number 1 keeper and I think would actually be possible/available to sign. Keylor Navas. I think he would be available now that PSG have Donnarumma. Like I’m sure he’d rather be a starter at United than a backup at PSG. He’s way too good to be a backup. He’s still world class imo and deserves to be starting for a top team. He’s been so disrespected his career. First by Real and now PSG. Also he was willing to join us a few years back so why not now. Although I love De Gea. I would definitely sell both him and Henderson if it meant we got Navas instead. I think we should definitely be trying to sign him. But it looks like we won’t be resolving our GK situation any time soon.
Edit: However I do think it would only likely be a short term signing since he is already 34. I guess that’s the big downside especially when you compare his age to De Gea and especially Henderson.
Why would you want to sell both Hendo and DDG? Just to make space for Navas who is way older than both (Hendo at least)? It doesn’t make sense especially that after a very long time, DDG now has serious competition and if it wasn’t for Covid he would have lost the No.1 spot to Hendo so he needs to really step if he is to keep his place
Because if we were to sell De Gea and sticking with Henderson as our number 1 keeper I would rather we just sell him as well and get Navas. Who is a lot better than both of them. He is still a world class keeper. And would be so good for us. Also has a lot of experience in the UCL winning it 3 (4?) times with Real. I love De Gea and wouldn’t mind him being our number 1 keeper but seems like Ole prefers Henderson, which I don’t agree with.
Navas is massively under-rated, it is a crime. Not to disrespect Courtois, who is also a good Goalkeeper, but Real didn't need to buy him at all.
Exactly he’s so good. Like he won 3 UCL’s with them and then they just replaced him with Courtois who it’s not like he’s 10x better than Navas. Same with PSG, but that I kinda understand because you can’t miss out on the opportunity to get a young keeper like Donnarumma for free.
There is nothing to resolve.
I disagree. The fact that we have both De Gea and Henderson isn’t good. Like keep one of them and sell the other at least. I personally prefer De Gea but if Ole prefers Henderson then De Gea should be sold. He shouldn’t be a backup. De Gea/Henderson as the starter and then Heaton as the backup is how it should be imo. Especially with how much he’s being paid. But because of his wages it would be tough to sell him now. I really thought they would resolve it heading into the new season with one of them being sold but nope they’re both still here.
Who is going to buy De gea from us? And Henderson is better suited to our style of play. So, there is nothing to resolve, not in this transfer window atleast.
United's media team has leveled up lol.
I hate Chelsea and Tuchel, and their CL trophy. Fuck them.
If anyone cares enough, here’s our leaked FUT rating in FIFA 22:
- David De Gea: 85 (-1)
- Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 84 (+1)
- Harry Maguire: 84 (+2)
- Raphäel Varane: 86 (=)
- Luke Shaw: 85 (+4)
- Paul Pogba: 87 (+1)
- Bruno Fernandes: 89 (+2)
- Scott McTominay: 82 (+3)
- Jadon Sancho: 88 (+1)
- Edinson Cavani: 85 (+1)
- Marcus Rashford: 86 (+1)
Damn 85 for Shaw. Did not think they would actually give him that big of an upgrade. Also, I’m definitely not saying he doesn’t deserve it but an 88 for Sancho already seems kinda crazy. Especially with how young he is aswell. Only 1 less than Bruno aswell.
Well in that context 85 isn't that high. How is Alderweireld higher, he's in fucking Qatar. I think Fifa is always at least 6 months to a year behind with ratings
Yeah I am also surprised by Sancho’s rating, I know he had a very strong end to last season but he was very underwhelming in the first half. Shaw’s (and Maguire’s) FIFA 21 rating was a joke to begin with so they should do him some justice this year tbh.
Literally. Yeah I agree with Maguire I thought last year he should have maybe been 84 anyway. And then this year 85 would have been fair.
How about Fred?
I reckon Fred will be like an 81 or maybe an 82. I think he was a 79 last year right? I think a +2 would be fair. I don’t see why he would be lower than McTominay. But this is just me guessing.
Only the starting XI has been leaked so far, suggesting this is our strongest team in-game.
84-84-86 then (Defense Midfield Attack)
Fucking sick of seeing everyone else pick up trophies. Watching Chelsea win last night was painful, god I want to see us lift a trophy
From The Athletic today (piece on Martial)
"In the hush of last season’s behind closed doors games, The Athletic noted multiple occasions where members of the United coaching staff urged “movement” from Martial, only for him to seem confused as to which areas he was supposed to move towards. "
As Graham Taylor would say, do I not like that...
Yet fans on here still think he should be given another season. I tear my hair out every time I see his lack of movement. I will be bald if he starts more than 15 games this season.
Yeah that is not something you want to hear about a nearly 26 year old player with nearly 400 professional games under his belt. Makes you wonder what the hell they're teaching these players in academies all over the world because this isn't a problem just with Martial but a whole host of modern forwards all over the world.
Anyone else pissed off at how bad United are on Fifa21? You just can’t play with them whoever is in charge of making the players play in the game really screwed up
Ehh I managed to get up to Div 4 with Man Utd on online seasons and I have played this game sporadically in the last 5 years. Had to switch to France after that for Varane and Kante and managed to get to Div 2.
I always played as United in online seasons. Just start the main team and if needed bring in Bailly for Maguire because pace is much more important than your ability to defend. In fut people were playing Adama Traore at full back and he was op
I think with a world class manager we can be better at fifa and finally beat jimmy67937
What? I always play as United. Just swap bailly for skipper and play mctominay instead of lindelof. Unreal team with shitloads of pace
Maguire turns like a steam engine in the CD any attacker with pace leaves him in the dust. And don’t get me started about how poor players are 1 on 1 against the PSGs and Barcelona’s on the game
Exactly, that’s why I swap him for bailly. You need pace at center back in FIFA. Also, being poor one on one is down to player skill unfortunately my man, if defenders have 75+ pace and physicality then they can contend with any attacker
I only Play with United and they're amazing on the break. Only the backline is sluggish. But you can counter that too by playing shaw in CB position instead of Maguire.
Rashford is probably better than Mbappe. Fernandes is great, James at times is disgusting. It's literally just our backline being underrated.
Cantona scoring that late goal in the F.A cup final against Liverpool.
I can't believe this sub is offended overall game we lost 2 months back. Yes, Ole fucked up with his subs in that game but we covered this 2 months back. Why are you getting offended over something you've already been offended before?
I mean Chelsea brought on Pulisic, Mount, and Jorginho in the 45th and 65th min and they still couldn't break down Villareal's defense. I don't see how VDB, Mata, DJ could have done any better and won us the game.
I don't think it's offended but still not over it, still sore from it and will be until we win something. Went in as favourites and lost in the most ridiculous way, 1 penalty, which was the 22nd is what was the difference between a trophy and not.
Because some of them look for any opportunity to shit on Ole so that they can claim they are 'right' .
Honestly feels like this is the issue. It's done, were going into a new season. Instead of looking forward to our first game against Leeds, these assholes take a result from a game that doesnt even involve us and use it as a stick to beat Ole and the people who do not share the same opinion on Ole as they do.
Honestly, are they going to do this everytime Villareal lose?
Some people are just pathetic.
You’re no better by calling them that. Be positive.
Not about being negative/positive or trying to be better than others, just calling it as I see it. Some would happily have their team they "support" lose games so they can say...... Look I was right.
Which is **pathetic.**
I actually wish there was another, decent united related subreddit. I hate reading this sub sometimes. The difference between fans on here and fans I meet in real life and at games is huge
I have said this before and I will say it again I have absolutely no problem with the non local fans most of them really love the club but the loud minority on here who are responsible for most of the toxicity are always the keyboard warriors who never been to England let alone Manchester
Im a non local fan who has never visited England. But I totally get your sentiment regarding us. A part of us absolutely have no idea about the club and and think they know more about football than a guy who has played the game at the top level for decades. Its just embarrassing.
I wonder which country contributed most to the toxicity
Unfortunately, the other places are way worse.
There is, /r/ManchesterUnited it’s ok but I prefer Reddevils.
I just unsubscribed from there, it’s so so so bad, I think it’s mostly foreign fans (which is fine but the takes are ridiculously bad) I unsubbed after I saw an upvoted post where a guy said “never watched him play but is sancho really worth it? Feel like we should go for someone else because he can’t even get into the England team” and then another guy doing a prospective line-up for the Leeds game and calling skipper ‘MacGuire’ it was just too much for me to bear
Wow! Just unsubscribed, thanks! MacGuire?!? Cringe!
That is not even moderated and way worse than this one. In all honesty, this is still the best place to discuss because, every other place is way worse.
I joined but really never check it out, literally like the only other United sub I know! Didn’t realize it was pretty bad!
Did you not get enough upvotes the first time you posted this?
Has anyone ordered from DH Gate before? If so where are the kits with the badge on?
Ordered last season and already ordered all 3 of this seasons (yes taking a risk). You can search around, look for sellers with a good ratings and who've sold many items, if you want a seller send me a DM I'll link you to the ones I used.
Hope we beat Chelsea every time we face them this season. They are so cocky
I want to beat them every time so that the Tuchel fanboys of this sub can shut the fuck up.
I’d rather lose every game go Tuchel and win the league than win every game against him and lose the league
Beating a manager n number of times in a season means fuckall in the grand scheme of things. We have beaten pep's side many times and feel good about it for a week but they go on to win the league shrugging that loss to us aside as if it meant very little
True, but if we beat Chelsea, City and Pool in both fixtures (home and away) that means we are in a title race.
Not unless we ensure 3 points from the palaces and newcastles of the league. Consistently beating lower sides is the difference between winning the league or not. Prioritizing fixtures and maximizing points is the key
but we already do that? My point is that if we use our performance from last year as a base and add these wins that were more elusive to our points tally, we will definately be in a title race.
Another thing people forget about last season, is that whilst the points difference between us an city was 12 points, we lost alot of points when we had to play 4 games in 10 days. We only got 4 out of a possible 12 points, when realistically we could have gotten 8 at a minimum in more conventional circumstances. Point being, we were not as far from City as the table suggests. And given that it was a season that played into their hands (fixture congestion and their squad depth) I think were in a good spot to challenge.
I know, but still want to beat Chelsea every time so that the Tuchel fanboys of this sub can shut the fuck up.
How will the Tuchel fanboys shut up if they lose to us but win trophies?
They won't but, they will be insufferable if Chelsea win against us. So, them being shut up for a day or two is worth it. In reality, hope Tuchel falls out with the board soon like he always does and we win some major silverware. Only way to shut them up for good.
Reckon the third kit is coming out today
This club tweet suggests so [https://twitter.com/ManUtd/status/1425697807831343112/photo/1](https://twitter.com/ManUtd/status/1425697807831343112/photo/1)
They must be off their tits if they think that honking blue thing they've designed looks anything like that classic.
If that's true, then I'm a remix of Brad Pitt.
The description says “using the [pattern] from the Manchester United third kit”
Three kino kits this year
I always revisit this post every now and then and just gawk at the screen. United, Arsenal and Pool have been run like a joke for years. Don't let transfers fool you for one second.
That post about this thread needs to be pinned on this subreddit permanently. Some degenerates act so thick headed about this.
Worst CL draw we can possibly get:
Best CL draw we can possibly get:
When's the draw?
In two weeks.
End of the month
I think we can probably get out of the group if we get medium difficulty group.
We don't do well when things are in our favour for some weird reason.
Some of you need to move on from that Europa final ffs. Penalties is majorly luck. This thread is a fucking cesspool.
I just want to see us win title this season. Shut the haters once and for all. We have one of the best teams in the league, if we give our best we can win it. Harry and Varane are experienced enough to guide younger ones around them to glory.
Messi: My dream is to win the CL again.
Ligue 1 Title: Am I a joke to you?
Yes it is.
I cannot believe r/soccer was actually discussing the fact that United players removed the silver medal from their necks. In football being runner ups isn't good, you don't get a trophy for that. Some snowflake society we live in alright.
MUFC lives rent free on r/soccer 's head. r/soccer however lives rent free on u/dracogladio1741 's head.
Where is this nonsense coming from? I haven't even been on Reddit much over the last couple of weeks except being on r/cricket as I was watching a game.
There's been a lot of whining about r/soccer here lately, looks like you were unlucky enough to have been the one to exhaust people's patience.
That makes sense I suppose. I remember skating our own fans being overly negative to farm Karma there but that was a week ago. Whatever. Thanks for the reply.
Do you do anything else but moan about r/soccer? Seems like they are all cooped up in your head.
It has been a long time since I discussed r/soccer here actually.
Edit:What are you on about? Are you confusing me with someone else?
I actually liked the fact that most of our players either removed the silver medal from their necks ASAP or took the medals in their hands.
People here are really uneducated about trolls here tbh, a lot of them usually fall for really obvious baits.
If something upsets you just ignore it and move on.
Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding
I genuinely believe the new set-piece coach is gonna have a dramatic impact next season. We got a glimpse of it in the Everton game.
Probably the single most important signing this season
I just wanna watch Sancho score in front of a packed Stretford end so bad.
Just seen someone on the psg sub refer to themselves as a “barca refugee”, these are the people Flo Perez was targeting with the super league btw.
Sancho referred to us and Manchester. Fucking love it.
Even Brits who grew up in London and played youth football for city, know there's only one team in Manchester.
It's just better that he played for Oil Money FC and still calls us Manchester
Damn ur telling me a manager can bring on the keeper with the better penalty saving statistic’s to win the game? Revolutionary
Looks like you got downvoted to oblivion. Lol. This sub really hates people questioning the manager's decisions
Did you praise Southgate when he brought on Sancho and Rashford just before the shootout, because they had way better penalty stats than the players they replaced? Or, did you praise Ole after he brought on Mata and Telles instead of AWB and Mctominay and they scored?
You do know that the keeper matters as well right?
Ddg is notoriously bad at saving pens and Henderson is better. Why would southgate and ole be praised if they lost the shootouts?
Sure, but it's not as easy as that. Deano has never played in such an important match and we don't know how he would have handled it. Just imagine if Ole subbed him on and his nervousness made him do something really stupid during the penalty shootout, which would ultimately lead to our loss. That could easily impact his whole career (remember Karius?).
De Gea isn't great at saving pens, but Ole definitely didn't expect Villarreal to convert 11 pens in a row, that just never happens. Even if someone hit the post, we could have won, but it just didn't happen.
What stupid thing could he have done in a shootout? Odds are against him already. De Gea has pulled a Karius more times than I can remember
I don't know, letting a weak shot in? Not scoring his pen? I know he is more likely to save pens than De Gea, but David is an established keeper who once was the best keeper in the world. Deano still hasn't really established himself, so him losing us the final could ruin him much more than the same happening to De Gea.
How many times do you see that though? Not saying that your concerns are invalid but part of being a top keeper is getting back up from set backs and failures. He’s a 24 year old. Most top keepers are already established at that point. Sooner or later, he’ll find himself in a position in which he’s made a mistake that cost his team. We can’t coddle him forever
Imagine if he did save penalties for us and got to be the face of our victory. Imagine what that would do for his confidence. Subbing off De Gea wouldn’t be questioned much no matter the result because you can always point to De Gea’s horrendous penalty saving record as an influencing factor behind your decision
I know he is already 24, but he is surprisingly inexperienced on top level. I mean, De Gea was already putting incredible performances for us when he was the same age, but Deano? He has only played two seasons of Prem football (one for Sheffield United, one as a backup), one Championship season and one League 1 season. He isn't one of those young goalkeeper prodigies with incredible reflexes (like De Gea or Donnarumma), but he's a more traditional keeper, who will most likely get better as he gains more experience.
I know having Deano would have been better, but Ole had his reasons. Let's be real here, if we subbed De Gea off, then maybe Wan-Bissaka would have had to step up and take a pen and I'm honestly more confident in David saving one rather than Aaron scoring one.
In retrospect, Ole should have went for it, but at the same time - how unlucky were we that Villarreal scored 11 pens in a row? That wouldn't happen to anyone else because even against bad keepers, some players would probably miss or hit the post. That evening though, everything just went in.
>Why would southgate and ole be praised if they lost the shootouts?
Exactly. The point I was trying to make is, these decisions are gambles, not tactical masterstrokes and are most of the time decided in training, not during a game. If they work out, you are a genius, if they don't you are a villain and everyone will be talking about how poor your decision was.
Penalties are lotteries to begin with, so even if you make the statistically better decision you can still lose the game. England lost because, two of their most successful penalty takers who have high penalty success rates for their clubs missed their penalties.
Sancho hasn't taken up to 5 career penalties, and not 1 of them was in a high pressure situation. Again what's the big risk in hooking a keeper with 0% penalty save rate in the last 4-5yrs for a keeper with 50% penalty save rate over the same period. News coming out that Henderson may have been nursing and injury then is a better excuse for ole than the whole lottery angle IMO.
How many high pressure penalties has Henderson saved?
Hahahaha, aren't you the same guy who said we need to sell Henderson? The double standards of some people here, LMAO.
How is that a double standard? You can think Henderson is better than De Gea at saving pens (like 99% of goalkeepers) while also wanting him sold.
I mean if you really think the goalkeeper whom the manager should have brought on just before the penalty shootout of a major European final (it's not a supercup by the way, where losing doesn't mean much and you can gamble all you want) needs to be sold, then you yourself have very little faith on that goalkeeper and you shouldn't judge the manager on that decision, which is an incredibly rare move to begin with.
Statistical save percentage is not everything, shootout is a lottery. You also have to factor in the pressure a new gk or a player has to face when he is brought on just before the penalty kick. Rashford and Sancho were brought on the Euro final because they had better penalty success rate and what was the result of that?
Subbing off keepers is rare because most of them aren’t as inept at saving penalties as De Gea. De Gea hasn’t saved a pen in several years while Henderson has a much better record, any competent manager should be knowning this and making that substitution 10/10 times.
Funnily enough, De Gea caught a pen in September against Crystal Palace, but the ref decided to repeat the pen because one of our players ran into the box too soon.
No it was because his foot was off the line
>Subbing off keepers is rare because most of them aren’t as inept at saving penalties as De Gea.
While Kepa has saved 5 penalties in his career but, Mendy has saved 2, Kepa's last penalty save was 3 years ago and Mendy's are pretty recent. Why was Kepa brought on then?
>any competent manager should be knowning this and making that substitution 10/10 times.
Oh you mean like how Ole knew Mata and Telles have better penalty records than AWB and Mctominay, brought them on and they scored and also how Southgate brought on Rashford and Sancho because of their superior penalty records but, they still missed?
Just for curiosity, what is your first memory associated with United, that you can vividly remember
I’ll start, 2011 Quarter final 2nd leg Park Ji sung scores and my dad proceeds to break the Tv
Mine was watching the 07/08 CL final with my cousin(he supports Chelsea), and i elbowed him accidentaly after Van Der Sar saved Anelka's penalty while i was screaming like a crazy man.
Mine wasn’t one game but it was getting so excited for the United arsenal games. They were such a big deal in our house. Uncles supported arsenal.
I live on the other side of the world so can barely watch any live games.
But I remember looking at the EPL table back in 2001 or 2002 (was a kid just starting to get interested in football) and seeing United in midtable and wondering why people supported this club only for United to win the league that year in a magnificent season turn around.
Been a fan ever since.
I just started watching recently so for me it wud be pogba signing nd us winning the el.
Roy Keane’s goal against Juventus. UCL semifinals, 1999.
Bruce and Pallister. Both bleeding from head wounds in the same game.
Some random image of cantona hitting a 50 yard pass without even turning back to check if anyone was running to get on the end of it.
The vision and swagger was what made me fell in love with the king
Yorke's hattrick in the 6-1 butt ramming of arsenal.
Rafael's banger vs QPR in 2013.
Ruud van nistlerooy not signing for a year because of his knee being in the news
Watching the King score on a game my dad was watching on the telly. I loved the kit and his collar up. When I played football with my friends I used my shirt's collar up as him.
when I was 5/6 my arts teacher gave us an arts an craft folder and told us to decorate it however we liked. My dad photoshopped and pasted on this huge picture of me as a baby playing in a utd kit 🤣 hooked for life
Rooney's goal against Newcastle. Saw it on ESPN's top plays, first day of my fandom as well.
Is there a FPL league for this subreddit?
Does anyone else think that Greenwood will probably develop into a RW instead of a CF similar to how Rashford's position changed?
I think Ole is trying to develop a fluid front 3, i.e. recreating Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez. Playing Greenwood as a RW allow him to be proficient playing there when he needs to swap positions.
For his sake and ours, I hope he will develop into world class CF instead.
We now have world class RW and LW. Just need a world class CF to complete the trifecta.
It’s very possible, and we shouldn’t discount that possibility since he’s very capable of developing into a 20 goal a season attacker from the right wing.
That's true I guess we'll see this season where he predominantly plays, Cavani's class but he'll probably get injured and Martials inconsistent so Greenwood might play a couple of games upfront.
Now I hate the Scousers and I hate Liverpool
They're fucking shite and United rule
And Chelsea who do you think you are
It's been 50 long years
It's gunna end in tears
You'll never be as big as Man United
Fuck Barcelona and fuck Real Madrid
I've loved United since I was a kid
Fuck Bayern Munich and AC Milan
Fuck Deportivo and Vasco De Gam
Fuck Kevin Keegan and fuck Brandon Lee
Fuck Steve McClaren and fuck Man City
Fuck Everton and fuck you Liverpool
Fuck all you Scousers 'cause Manchester rule
Why do you hate Vasco da Gama mate?
